What a fun weekend!

Violet just experienced her first Easter.  An Easter Extravaganza we should call it!  We started on Saturday with a dinner at the Sparks house.  She had so much fun being loved on by Grandma Penny and Grandpa John.  She even got to see Great Grandma Iva Marie.  We ate way too much food and just stared at little Violet.  Nothin better than that. 

Then on Sunday we had just as much fun dressing Violet up for Easter!  Jeff woke us up with blueberry pancakes, my favorite.  Then we got Violet all ready for church.  She wore her pretty pink dress and white patent leather shoes.  She even had a matching head band!  We decided the headband didn't have enough of a bow, so Jeff rigged it up with a clip on bow!  Much better.  I love how involved he is with every part of Little Violet.  Mom came over before church and took our family picture.  It is so nice that she is just down the street!  We were taking Violet's picture by her Easter basket and actually caught her sitting up by herself.  She was supposed to be propped up by the couch, but she decided she wanted to sit up and did for ten seconds!    She is getting too big too fast! 

Violet was absolutely perfect at church.  She sat on Grandpa Rick's lap the whole time and stared at all the lights.  She didn't even wiggle!  We went to Mom's for an Easter Egg hunt in the evening and had a blast.  She prepared another wonderful meal and we had a blast watching all the kids play.  Grace got the Silver Egg with ten dollars in it!  She decided she had enough money and tried to give Jeff some of hers.  He talked her out of it as long as she brought him back a seashell from the ocean this summer.  Sweet Grace. 

My good friend Allison came over this weekend and told me that every stage with a baby seems like it is the best stage.  She said it just keeps getting better.   I have to say, I can't imagine it getting any better than this.  Happy Easter!
